Mama had a restless night last night. As her body becomes more aware, she is now realizing that she can’t find a good position in her bed, the leg massagers that help prevent blood clots are uncomfortable, etc. We’re so happy that her body is waking up all over, but we hate for her to be so agitated, and I know that she is feeling frustrated.
She’s really enjoying ice chips and yogurt right now. When I spoke with Daddy earlier he said that she was sitting in a chair, and they were going to be trying to get her to walk a bit more today. Her room is the last one on the hallway, and there’s a large window at the end of the hallway, so the goal today was to help her walk out of her room and down to the window.
As she’s starting to become more alert, she’s also a lot more aware of where she is and what is going on. Today she told both Bo and Daddy that she’s scared, so our newest challenge is trying to reassure her that she’s getting better and making great progress, so she doesn’t need to be afraid. Please pray not only for her continued progress but also for her to find some confidence in her abilities and some peace about her recovery. She’s doing so well and the doctors have been pleased every day.
So great to get an update and happy that Debbie is still making progress. I am so sorry she is having to go through such a tough time and pray that soon God will give her peace about her situation and know that she is getting better each day. I can understand how it can be very scary for her at this stage as she is just figuring everything out and it has to be so confusing for her. I am sending much much love to all of you and please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you. I would love to come see Debbie when it is the appropriate time. Thanks again so much for the updates. It is such a great way to keep up with my special special friend. Hugs, Sharon Knight
So pleased to hear of Debbie’s progress. Times like these can be very frustrating, scary and confusing – for both Debbie and family. With continued support, patience and love from her family, things will be brighter. God’s Peace.
Our prayer for Debbie: Darkness surrounds, Lord. Debbie longs to see your face and feel your gentle touch. She needs to know that you are here. Be her light in the darkness, her support in suffering, her strength in weakness. Hold her in your arms. Lighten her burden, cheer her spirit, and restore her to your wholeness. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

I had not been able to get the blog to open up for me for the last couple of days, but am so happy to see that Debbie is making progess. Please let her know that I am thinking about her and praying for you all daily.
Tell Debbie that whenever she has fear to quote this verse, “I shall not die, but live to declare the works of the Lord and proclaim his glorious acts.” Psalm 118 17-18
Love to you all,
Thank you so much for the updates. I am new to the blog. My husband Collier and I lived on Sawgrass Island for years and we sit in front of your mom and dad often in Church. I have been out of town. In Church this Sunday during the prayers for the people was the first I heard of Debbie’s need for prayers. We along with so many are praying for you and your families.
Please pass along our love and concern,
Peggie Black

From Isreal
We have been so shocked, traumatized, stunned and sad since we received your email with the unhappy news that Mrs. Debbie Hardegree is at the hospital with a serious head injury. This news has affected all us. We are so sad and affected for her problem. I must confess you that when I was reading the email, I had tears in my eyes for so terrible pain for her. We do love Debbie so much. After I read the email I translated it and printed to share this dreadful news. In the morning I visited almost 24 parishioners of El Buen Pastor to inform and asked everybody to pray for her, and to write notes of get well soon to send her. For that reason in this week I will be sending all this emails. Can I send you to give Debbie’s family? Or Can I send directly to Debbie´s email address? I know that many, many persons will write notes and send cards for her. We are all in prayers; we are having prayers at home and at church. I have informed to the parishioners today Thursday Sept. 16 at 8:00 PM in the church to have a lot of prayers for our loving, amazing and unforgettable Sister in Christ Debbie. Please extent to David, Bo and Lindsey our love and let them to know that we are praying for Debbie and for them too. That with all this prayers to our Lord we are VERY SURE that she will be at home very soon, and she will continue her life of faith. May the Lord Bless and keep her in her loving arms. That she may be restored to health of body and mind. Please let us to know abour her health.
Please, since we have not access to Internet we cannot follow the medical results of everyday. Could you send by email the information of the Debbie recovery health? We are very anxious to know all concerning her health.
Please extend our love to everybody at Christ Church.
Love from El Buen Pastor Church.
In Christ, Israel Castro.
