Day 17, Night

This afternoon Mama was transferred from Mayo Hospital to Brooks Rehabilitation.  She will be doing in-patient rehabilitation for a while – typically patients with brain injuries remain in-patient for at least two weeks, depending on the individual.  She still needs help with most everything (she can’t get out of bed without a nurse, she still needs help eating, etc.), so we’ve still got a ways to go, but she was thrilled to be leaving the hospital.

They removed the staples from her head yesterday and today she became IV-free, so it’s been a big day or so!  However, she’s still very anxious, so we continue to pray for peace of mind and patience in her recovery.

  1. Hello to everyone. I was writing a nice little comment and all of all of a sudden, it went away. I am so happy for Debbie that she is getting to move to rehab and get closer to going home. I am praying for her to just soar way beyond their expectations and be home as soon as she can. I pray for her to have perfect peace and relax and be anxious for nothing, for God will supply all her needs.

Please send us the address for the Patient Rehab because I would like to send a card. One of the reasons, I lost my last reply is because I went back up to see if there was an address on the website and maybe there is and I am just not finding it.

Hello to David and Bo and God Bless your family. I know it has been a long 2 1/2 weeks for everyone and what a JOY it will be when Mom is back home and just living life and enjoying each day. Much Love and Hugs, Sharon Knight
